Film making on Equalities Issues

MPEG members have been working together to make a short film on equalities issues. This project, driven by the enthusiasm of Ryan Sturrock, is focusing on three short stories developed by the group in a series of workshops.

One looks at negative attitudes to emigration to Scotland, the second looks at depression and the third at negative attitudes to being gay. The stories are linked by the characters all visiting a local cafe. MPEG members and their friends are playing key parts in the film.

Ryan is taking a Ken Loach approach in using non actors (i.e. MPEG members in his film). It is hoped that the film can be used in discussion workshops with  other groups about equality issues.
