Equal Midlothian Week 2021

Equal Midlothian Week 2021 will take place 1-7th March with the Midlothian Mela 2021 on Saturday 6th March, funded by The Robertson Trust.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing restrictions all of our events will be online including the Midlothian Mela which will have the usual variety of family friendly and energetic entertainment with something for everyone!

Build a Bird’s Nest (downloadable pdf) 

Spring is here and the birds are busy nest building. Can you channel your inner blackbird and build a nest using natural materials you find on a walk? 

Use the downloadable guide to help you collect the right materials and build a cosy nest to make any chick happy.

Come join our e-ceilidh and enjoy some Scottish music and dance from the comfort of your living rooms (cameras optional!) with the award-winning Science Ceilidh. We’re celebrating diversity, wellbeing and connection, and in the traditional cèilidh spirit, you’re welcome to share something – like a story, song or language – with us too! All ages & experiences welcome!
